Albéa’s Intellectual Property department was awarded the gold Trophée for its proactive strategy and tangible results on company’s global development.

Organised by Leaders League, the "Trophées du Droit" honour the excellence of the most proficient law specialists. The selection is made by an outstanding jury comprising more than 160 qualified professionals and from among 1000 contenders. The awatds ceremony was held in Paris on November 17, 2016.

Albéa wins the Gold “Trophée du Droit” in the Intellectual Property/Patents category before Airbus, Orange and IFP Energies nouvelles. The jury recognized “a pro-active strategy with tangible results”.

With a portfolio of more than 1500 patents, Albéa has an integrated Intellectual Property (IP) department. Its primary role is to protect and defend the group’s patents and innovations, while working on freedom to operate issues and the contractual aspects of these IP assets.

With Patents, we have a very comprehensive and ambitious approach. The team has initiated Patents Committees allowing us to monitor closely all our innovation projects. We also intervene during trade shows in order to enforce our intellectual property rights thanks to Anti-Counterfeiting offices. Finally we coordinate a constant patent, technical and market watch, giving us a 360° vision for each of our activities,” said Guillaume Mouraret, Albéa Group Intellectual Property manager explains.

Actually, the Albéa Group is ranked among the 50 companies that file the most patent applications in France. According to INPI, France’s Intellectual Property institute, Albéa was ranked 25 with 52 published patent requests in 2015 and was ranked 37 with 38 requests in 2014.
