Givaudan has announced the inauguration of a new fermentation production line for Soliance products in Pomacle, France. The CHF 10 million investment (EUR 9,17 million) in the extension of the production capacity represents Givaudan’s most important infrastructure investment in active cosmetic ingredients (ACI) to date.
The group says this investment is another step in its ambition to become a significant player in the active cosmetic ingredients business. In particular, the new production line will support the company in meeting the fast growing demand for products such as Hyaluronic Acid.
“This investment is a turning point in our efforts to serve customers in a timely manner, in particular for our blockbuster Soliance products. The strong commitment of a transversal team bringing together people from Pomacle and other key Givaudan sites was essential to bring this project to life,” said Frédérique Lafosse, Head of the Active Cosmetic Ingredients business.
