Barcelona-headquartered fragrance house Eurofragance has appointed Carlos Llorca as new R&D Director.

In his new post, Llorca shall take charge of implementing the company’s new research and development plan. Indeed, Eurofragance intends to develop new formats and products that provide increased added value for its clients. This recruitment completes the reinforcement of the Management Committee of Eurofragance, that recently appointed Marta Moseguí, former Sony manager, as global Chief Human Resources Officer of the company.

Carlos Llorca is a chemist with more than 25 years of technical experience in fragrances and major consumer products in companies such as Givaudan, Quest International, Reckitt & Benckiser and SC Johnson & Son, among others. He holds a Bachelor in Scientist Chemistry and Computer Scientist both from Buenos Aires, Argentina. His post-graduate work on “Fragrance Essential Oils and their interactions with Bacterial Cell Membranes” is noteworthy. In addition to participating in multiple seminars on fragrances in many Latin American countries, he was a professor of “Perfumery” at the Association of Cosmetic Chemists of Argentina.

In his professional career, Llorca has had more than 25 years of success in the world of fragrance. Most recently, he was Fragrance Innovation and Technology Director in Mexico and Central America for the Swiss perfume company Givaudan.
