Dr Karl Lintner was awarded the in-cosmetics Lifetime Achievement award in a closely fought competition against the two other finalists, Dr Klaus Stanzl and Dene Godfrey. The award, which honours outstanding individuals whose professional accomplishments have made a significant and lasting impact on the cosmetics industry, was presented during this year’s in-cosmetics show, which its closing its doors tonigh in Paris.

A total of 1,200 people cast their vote and it was Dr Karl Lintner, who is well known in the industry for his contribution to work on skin biochemistry, who walked away triumphant.

Karl Lintner started his career researching Biological Peptides at the Nuclear Research Centre in Saclay, France and after ten years moved on to positions at leading companies including Henkel and Sederma, where he was CEO for ten years.

Dr Lintner has filed several dozen patents, published numerous articles and book chapters on cosmetics ingredients and is an active member of the SCC (US) and SFC (France). He is currently an independent consultant and president of KAL’IDEES, as well as editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Cosmetic Science.
