The Spanish contract manufacturer has officially inaugurated its brand new factory in Puçol (Puzol in Castilian), in Spain’s Valencia region. The project, initiated last year, involved an investment of EUR 11 million.
With a total constructed area of 5,100 sqm, the facility houses 11 reactors and 5 filling lines, delivering an annual capacity of up to 7,000 tonnes. Advanced dosing, labelling, and handling areas incorporate automated controls and detailed traceability, enabling agile format changes while upholding international standards.
More than 20 specialised technicians staff the R&D and Quality Laboratory to develop new formulas, assure batch quality and ensure compliance with international regulatory standards.
Several environmental initiatives are embedded throughout the site, including in-house production of osmotized water — reducing both chemical consumption and transport emissions — along with circular practices such as recycling of plastics, cardboard, and pallets. The facility also incorporates photovoltaic panels and continuous internal environmental training. Together, the environmental measures implemented by the company have enabled Cosmewax to reduce its carbon footprint by 56.8% since 2018.
A purpose-built warehouse — with a raw-materials room, a temperature-controlled room and two large dispatch areas — supports fulfilment for Cosmewax customers, including international retailers such as Superdrug, Rossmann and Boots. High industrial racking maximises vertical space.
Cosmewax serves more than 100 clients around the world across three business lines — skincare, waterless cosmetics and hair removal — with EUR 34.6 million revenue in 2024 (93% exports) and a EUR 38 million outlook for 2025.
