The 2014 edition of CosmeticBusiness, a trade show dedicated to the suppliers of the cosmetics industry, which was held on 5 and 6 June 2014 in Munich, hosted a record number of exhibitors.

The 394 exhibitors, out of them 40% came from outside Germany and 50 were first-time exhibitors, showcased their products in the halls 2, 3 and 4 of the Munich events centre (MOC). All the sectors were represented, from active ingredients to production processes and packaging.

"We are particularly pleased that the new concept for the hall layout has gone down so well. As a result of the increase in the range of products and services on display and the growth in the level of international participation, the event has increased its appeal even further. In developing CosmeticBusiness in future, we shall continue to concentrate on encouraging the intensive exchange of ideas and experiences between the members of the sector," said Markus Geisenberger, Managing Director of Leipziger Messe GmbH.

The organisers did not unveil the total number of visitors, but claimed the number of international visitors strongly increased: 25 per cent came from outside Germany, from 38 countries, mainly Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Italy, France and The Netherlands.

What is special about CosmeticBusiness for us is, above all, the high quality of the discussions that you can have here. The event continues to develop and is becoming more and more important, particularly for our contacts in the German-speaking countries of Europe,” commented Bernd Strauch, Sales Director at Gerresheimer Moulded Glass GmbH.

In consultation with the exhibitors and the event’s steering committee, the next CosmeticBusiness will be held take place, for the first time, on a Wednesday and Thursday, on 10 and 11 June 2015, at the MOC in Munich.
