The 23rd Annual CEW Beauty Insider Awards Luncheon was held at the Hilton Ballroom in Midtown (New York, NY) last week. The event, held in partnership with Meredith Corporation, drew more than 1,200 people. A total of 43 awards across 40 categories were presented to the teams behind the year’s most innovative products. Lilliana Vazquez, Style Expert, Author and T.V. Host served as Master of Ceremonies.

This year, CEW added three new Indie award categories - Indie Fragrance, Indie Makeup and Indie Skincare. Winners of these new awards are:

 Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Scent of a Dream for Indie Fragrance;
 Milk Makeup Holographic Stick for Indie Makeup;
 and Farmacy Beauty Honey Potion for Indie Skincare.

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty also took home the Indie Brand award, and will receive a complimentary booth from Cosmoprof North America, valued at US $8,000.

IT Cosmetics was selected as the winner in the newly launched Makeup Tools category for its Heavenly Skin CC+ Skin-perfecting Brush #702. The award, presented by Anisa International, was established to recognize innovative tools that enhance the application of makeup to the face. Additionally, the Sustainability Excellence award (formerly Eco Beauty Award), presented by Firmenich, was awarded to Teadora.

For the second time, CEW partnered with the Meredith Corporation on the Iconic Consumers’ Choice Beauty Award, which is the only category open to consumer voting. Olay Total Effects Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 15 Fragrance-free was chosen as the winner in the mass category and Clinique Clarifying Lotion was selected as the winner in prestige. Two-time Tony Award winning actress Christine Ebersole, who plays the iconic Elizabeth Arden in Broadway’s War Paint, presented the two awards.

Both award winners and finalists will be able to participate in CEW-retailers partnerships to reach consumers and gain visibility. This summer, GLOSSYBOX will launch a limited-edition Beauty Awards collection box featuring finalist and winning products from both mass and prestige categories, reaching GLOSSYBOX’s community of 1.6 million beauty consumers. QVC will also be featuring select finalist and winning products, along with the QVC Beauty Quest Winner, Hey Honey, live on-air during a CEW Beauty Awards Show on July 20, enabling emerging brands to be spotlighted to millions on a successful retailer platform.
