Covit, back on tracks !

Based in Barcelona, the company Covit is specialized in the processing of metal parts for the conditioning of perfumery and cosmetic products is back on tracks after the dramatic fire that destroyed much of its production tool in 2010.

As planned, and to the day, the new anodizing line installed in a new building was commissioned on June 6th. In addition to this new building, it is the whole industrial site which had to be refurbished, especially the offices and the roofs of the other workshops which had suffered significantly from the fire.

This new anodizing line has a capacity of over 300 million pieces/year and the location for a second line is already planned. The forty-press transfers which had not suffered from the fire are currently running at full speed.

12 million euros expected this year

A industrial recovery, the cost of which will have exceeded five million euros in total. It may be recalled that Covit, owned since July 2010 by the PHI Industrial Acquisitions group had achieved a turnover in 2008 of 19 million euros and that this restart should allow Covit to post this year more than 13.5 million in turnover.
