Firmenich sponsors Corpo 35 offering exclusive ingredients to candidates

Firmenich is sponsoring the third edition of Corpo 35, the annual fragrance competition for the next generation of perfumers. During the opening ceremony at ISIPCA, the world-renowned perfumery school in France, Firmenich unveiled an exclusive collection of more than 20 Firmenich ingredients to inspire the 35 candidates. The collection includes naturals, synthetics and bio-based molecules, with iconic ingredients such as Rose de Mai, Jasmine Sambac, Cardamom and Firmenich’s exclusive bio-based Clearwood.

Our leadership in Fine Fragrance is anchored in the passion, creativity and innovation of our award-winning perfumers,” said Armand de Villoutreys, President Perfumery & Ingredients, Firmenich. “That’s why we are proud to sponsor Corpo 35 and look forward to seeing how these aspiring perfumers blend our signature ingredients as they set out to make their mark in the world of perfumery.

Since 2016, Corpo 35 has offered young fragrance talents the opportunity to design and formulate their own perfumes. After a creative process of six months, five winners will be selected by a jury of professionals to have their perfumes produced and marketed. This year’s jury will be chaired by Dora Baghriche, Perfumer, Firmenich. The perfumer behind the creation of millennial-loved brand Glossier’s ‘Glossier You,’ Dora was chosen because of her unconventional approach to fragrance creation.

As part of the competition, candidates will be invited in May, to the company’s Naturals Center of Expertise in Grasse to take part in the harvesting of the roses, as well as visit the Firmenich extraction facilities.
