Pujolasos invests in new industrial expansion

The Spanish-based specialist of wooden caps for perfumery, cosmetics and alcoholic beverages has acquired facilities of 2,000m2 annexed to the current plant in Sant Pere de Torelló, Catalonia, Spain.

With this purchase, the company incorporates two new buildings and a warehouse for the storage of the wood and its dryers.

The acquisition will allow the company to advance its strategic expansion plan and meet the demand of the coming years, increase the capacity of internal management of wood, guarantee supply to its customers. With this expansion, the firm reaches a total of 18,500 m2 of area exclusively dedicated to the design and manufacture of wooden caps for beauty and spirits,” said the company in a release.

Pujolasos will therefore be able to increase its timber storage and management capacity, which is currently of about 6,000m3 of wood, to meet its expansion plans for the next five years.

According to Pujolasos, one of the particularities of this investment is the use of biomass as the source of energy for the operation of the artificial dryers, a material the company uses in other plants. This allows Pujolasos to move forward with its sustainability plan, which promotes the use of sustainable raw materials and implements development processes that respect the environment.
