MakeUp in Los Angeles unveils conference programme

The third edition of MakeUp in LosAngeles will open its doors on February 7 and 8 2018 in a new venue, the Barker Hangar, concomitant to the first edition of Luxe Pack Los Angeles.

The event’s conference programme will feature thirty speakers hosting fifteen conferences and half a dozen round tables focused on the new beauty entrepreneurs, how make up brands adapt to the new digital age and the new technologies, the creation of new textures, and new applicators, etc.

Conferences & Round Tables Program:

Day 1: Wednesday February 7th, 2018

Main Theme: Deciphering major beauty trends of the United States market, the influence of digital and the specificities from California Brands.

9:15 pm - 10:00 am: "The State of the US Beauty Industry and key trends in 2018"
Opening Keynote by: Sarah Jindal, Senior Innovation and Insight Analyst - Beauty + Personal Care at Mintel

10:15 am -11:45 am: "The rise of the new entrepreneurs and the Indie Brands Influence"
Introduction by Leila Rochet-Podvin followed by presentations and a round table discussion with:
- Marlena Stell – CEO/Founder of Makeup Geek
- And other brands senior executives to be confirmed soon

12:00 pm - 12:30 pm: "The Cosmetic Applicators"
Conference by: Gérald Martines, IN•SIGNES

1:00 pm - 2:30 pm: "Beauty transformation in the Digital Age - Adapting to the new challenge of social media and e-commerce"
Keynote by: Hana Ben-Shabat, Partner and Board Member at A.T. Kearney
