The result of several months of R&D, Lessonia’s new range of hemp and CBD based skincare products is now available for beauty brands interested in two of the trendiest ingredients of 2019.

The French company, which specialises in the production of natural cosmetic ingredients and formulations, chose to go beyond the addition of hemp oil in its new range of skin and body care products, but also added cannabidiol (CBD) to its formulas.

Lessonia’s new HEMP beauty range includes 4 face care products and 3 body care products based on hemp oil and CBD

A relaxing substance found on hemp plant, CBD is known to reduce redness and to sooth the skin. It is also known for its sebostatic, anti-acne and no-comodogenic properties,” explains Lessonia in a release.

Increasingly used in North America for its soothing properties, CBD is less frequent on beauty shelves in Europe due to a complex regulatory status. “However, regulation is gradually allowing brands to use CBD in cosmetic with some restrictions though,” adds Lessonia.

Lessonia has taken it into consideration to formulate the products of its new HEMP range:

 Four products for the face (Hemp moisturizing cream; Hemp serum; Hemp Peel-Off; and Hemp Protective Fluid);
 And three products for the body (Hemp dry oil; Hemp body balm; Hemp scrub

The formulations in the range comprise between 98% and 99% of ingredients of natural origin.

In addition, Lessonia is also adding a Hemp Sheet Mask to its Happy Mask range of non-woven face masks. With a high rate of hemp fibres (30%), the new mask brings naturalness and a good visual appeal.
