Imerys’ ImerCare P-Scrub, a 100% natural range of mineral scrub derived from perlite, a volcanic rock, has been attributed the 2016 IMA-Europe [1] Recognition Award under the category ‘Innovation’. The range has been specifically engineered to address the growing demand for environmentally friendly alternatives to plastic microbeads in scrub applications.

The ImerCare P-Scrub range has been developed using patented engineered technology which allows to combine the natural hardness of volcanic rock with the softness of spherical particles to provide a gentle, physical exfoliation effect.

The award ceremony took place on September 28 during the 2016 IMA-Europe Conference which brings together representatives from the European Commission, industrial minerals industry, downstream industries, unions, NGOs, and academia.
