Geneva-headquartered fragrance and flavour maker Firmenich has appointed Armand de Villoutreys as President Perfumery and Ingredients, effective July 1st, 2017. By extending his leadership from perfumery to ingredients, Firmenich aims to enhance its excellence across both businesses with strengthened creative synergies.

Armand de Villoutreys is named President Perfumery and Ingredients, effective July 1st, 2017.

Based in Paris, Armand de Villoutreys will continue to report directly to Firmenich CEO, Gilbert Ghostine as a member of the company’s Executive Committee. As part of this strategic organization change, Amaury Roquette, Vice President, Sales, Ingredients will report directly to Armand and lead the Ingredients business unit and team globally.

Since Armand’s appointment as President of Perfumery in 2010, he successfully advanced the leadership of our Perfumery business year-on-year, as evidenced by our number one position in Fine Fragrance and our growth leadership in Body and Home Care. Armand de Villoutreys joined Firmenich in 1999 as General Manager of Fine Fragrance, Europe, succeeding Patrick Firmenich in 2001 as the Vice President of Fine Fragrance worldwide. In 2010, he was appointed to Firmenich’s Executive Committee as President, Perfumery. Prior to this, Armand de Villoutreys held numerous positions across consumer goods companies in Europe. A graduate from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris (ESCP), he also holds an MBA from INSEAD.
