Dutch skincare market should continue to show growth to 2017

The skincare sector in The Netherlands is showing positive growth, in the shadow of continued economic weakness. According to market research firm Canadean a value Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 3.0%, places skincare in third place out of the top five health and beauty sectors in the Netherlands for 2012 to 2017. Furthermore, Canadean forecasts volume will grow at a slightly higher CAGR of 3.4%.

Facial care, the largest category, with a 67.8% share for both value and volume in 2012 is expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.0% in value by 2017.

High growth in hand care and depilatories

The smallest category, depilatories, is forecast to see the second best CAGR rates for value and volume, at 3.0% and 3.7% respectively.
