Cosmetic 360 to open its first edition in Paris

More than 150 exhibitors, a third of them from overseas, will participate in the first edition of the Cosmetic 360 trade fair, organized by the Cosmetic Valley competitiveness cluster in Paris on 15 and 16 October 2015 at the Carrousel du Louvre, in Paris, France.

Dedicated exclusively to innovation, Cosmetic 360 is a novel international trade fair offering turnkey solutions to professionals to build the beauty of tomorrow. As the heartbeat of innovation in the sector, it touches all areas of perfumery and cosmetics: ingredients, formulation, packaging, testing and finished products,” say the organisers.

The Cosmetic Victories Trophies, which will be presented at the fair, have been made by Julien Bernard, Designer at MMB, the leading French maker of top-end models and prototypes.

Cosmetic Valley aims to make Cosmetic 360 a major international trade fair and “the shop window for 360° innovation for SMEs, microenterprises and start-ups with innovative projects.

In order to achieve this goal, the Cosmetic Valley partnered with the main associations representing the cosmetics industry in France, including the French Federation of Cosmetics Manufacturers (FEBEA), the French Society of Cosmetology (SFC), and the French Society of Perfumers (SFP), and got the support of public authorities (French Ministry of Economy, French Ministry of Industry, French Ministry of Foreign Affairs).

Open Innovation

The Cosmetic Valley has made the decision to back Open Innovation and use Cosmetic 360 as a platform for bringing together innovative project leaders (start-ups, laboratories, SMEs, microenterprises, etc.) and the Research and Innovation teams of the major names in the competitiveness cluster (Boots, Chanel, Johnson&Johnson, L’Oréal, LVMH Recherche, Puig, Shiseido). About 250 applications have been submitted and 200 meetings have been scheduled over the two days of the fair. “While we talk a lot these days about open innovation, you still need to know how to open up access for start-ups and project leaders to these major groups with whom they can develop innovative products and services, and whom the ‘seedlings’ often have difficulty in contacting,” highlights the Cosmetic Valley.

More than 20 conferences on five key topics (Consumer insights, Regulations and Technology Transfer, Green Cosmetics, Innovation and Design, and Digital, and a series of 8 awards and 10 foreign delegations, are completing the show programme.
