The upcoming Natural & Organic Cosmetics Conference, which will be held on 6-7 October 2015 at the Hotel Ellington in Berlin, Germany, will focus on new market opportunities and consumer expectations.

Natural Cosmetics Conference 2014

Analysing changes in the natural and organic cosmetics market, Christoph Engl, Managing Director of Nuremberg-headquartered consultancy firm Brand Trust GmbH, will point out the key factors of success. “The natural and organic cosmetics industry needs strong manufacturer brands that have the confidence to go their own ways,” explains Engl.

The conference will also unveil the results of a market study comparing the perception of natural and organic cosmetics compared to prestige cosmetics. According to Felix Schaefer, Managing Director of Schaefer Market Research, who carried out the study, “results show how far consumers interested in specific skin care benefits trust natural and organic cosmetics and offer good indications on how to gain ground with intelligent marketing strategies.

Natural Cosmetics Conference 2014

Communication will be another key topic at this year’s Natural & Organic Cosmetics Conference. In a keynote presentation, Prof. Dr. Ulrich Reinhardt of the BAT-Foundation for Future Studies will highlight the changes brought on by social media, how they have changed the communication with the customers as well as the consequences for retailing in the future.

The conference will also be the occasion to discuss the ISO-Guidelines, which were the subject of a lot of scepticism with critics fearing the new guidelines for organic cosmetics could water down the existing standards. Associations and international experts will take a closer look at the possible effects of the new guidelines on the international natural and organic cosmetics market.
