The molecule extracted from wintergreen and launched by Alban Muller International at the latest In-Cosmetic show in Barcelona, provides a natural alternative to salicylic acid, commonly used in a synthetic form in cosmetics.
“In order to produce a molecule of high purity, we use a double extraction process, first through distillation, then through hydrolysis," explains Judith Zaoui, export manager.
A molecule that Alban Muller has transformed into two ingredients, supplied with different INCI names:
First, Amipreserve, a completely natural preservative accepted by the European regulation. “Its effectiveness has been tested on bacterias, yeasts and moulds, and provides a safe anti-microbial solution to protect cosmetic products,” claims Alban Muller.
Amipreserve is colourless and odourless and is therefore an effective, natural alternative to synthetic preservatives, such as parabens, and phenoxyethanol, or essential oils.
The second ingredient, Amiperfect, is a completely natural active ingredient dedicated to achieving a perfect, radiant complexion. Its keratolytic, anti-microbial, anti-inflammatory action purifies the skin and promotes the elimination of dead cells, smoothes blemishes and wrinkles, and encourages the regeneration of the epidermis.
“Used in skincare products, Amiperfect refines the skin texture for a smoother, softer epidermis and a glowing, luminous complexion,” explains Alban Muller International.
