Weckerle Cosmetics, which can claim a double digit growth rate this year again, carry on its investment policy in the lipstick segment. The company has just equipped its Lipstick Competence Center in Peissenberg, Germany, with a state-of-the-art lipstick filling machine, for a total amount of 1.5 million Euros.
This new machine (MM360), which has been developed by the R&D Team of Weckerle Machines, features a multimoulding system and has started production at the end of November 2009.
According to Weckerle, the main advantages of the MM360 are its speed, flexibility, modularity and quick format change. Weckerle Cosmetics acquired the machine including a multi-dosing system, assembly and filling line. The rotary table carries 360 interchangeable moulds, able to support four different mould technologies: push-out, blow-out, soft and center core moulds. The output is around 6000 pieces per hour.
Weckerle Cosmetics will produce its innovative Multi-Colour lipstick with a new filling technique on this machine.
