Roger Caracappa

Roger Caracappa, Estée Lauder vice president, global packaging, quality assurance, merchandising, corporate store design, retail operations, died on Sunday at the age of 59.

Roger Caracappa has spent his entire career working with the Estée Lauder group of companies. He debuted in 1972 the company’s Melville NY plant. For 20 years, he spearheaded all promotional marketing for the Estée Lauder brand in North America as well as marketing operations and merchandising. For nine years, he also served on the industry advisory board for the Fashion Institute of Technology’s (FIT) Cosmetics and Fragrance Marketing program. In 2002, Mr. Caracappa was named the Packaging Executive of the Year by Health & Beauty America (HBA).
