"The traditional case with its standard box and box insert, it’s almost a thing of the past," strongly believes Petra Roth, the founder and President of PR Service Graphique. "Nowadays on an ultra-competitive marketplace, first and foremost customers are looking for ways to differentiate and customize both their products and their packaging. They demand originality and flawless quality."

Founded in 1989, the company was first specialized in the publishing industry. But with its location at the heart of the Cosmetic Valley, high end perfume and cosmetic brands gained an increasing important in the portfolio of the company, accounting today for about 80% of its turnover. "This growth was achieved by fostering the brands loyalty with quality products and services," emphasises Petra Roth.

A quality based on the careful selection of the best suppliers. "The relationship of trust we have built with our partners in China is a source of permanent progress. In most cases, factories are audited by our customers. But if our portfolio of suppliers doesn’t change much, this doesn’t stop us from continuing our research to maintain the highest level of performance," explains Petra Roth.

As a consequence, an impressive growth in sales which have almost doubled in three years time and which are expected to reach € 6.5 million in 2011. PR Service Graphique achieves 50% of its turnover with cases, 25% with paper bags and the rest in design and sourcing of accessories and exclusive items (toilet bags, bags, etc,.), and in different service offers, particularly in the field of logistics, with a warehouse of 22,000sqm.

Karl Lagerfeld

Among the company’s recent achievements, the Karl Lagerfeld snowball which is part of the line developed by Sephora for Christmas. "We found a Chinese supplier of snowballs, who worked in close collaboration with our supplier of cases," details Petra Roth. A characteristic of the product is that the flakes are made of gold paper and not polystyrene as is usually the case with this type of product. "This helps obtain a shinier effect with larger flakes too," she adds. To highlight the designer’s black profile inside the ball, the case was adorned with gold facets.

Another novelty this year, the design of paper flowers to decorate the packages and bring added value to the cases.
