Founded in 1865, Orlandi is a leading manufacturer of samples and promotional scented products in the U.S. The company recently announced that a third manufacturing unit of 1600 m2 is under construction, thus bringing the surface of its entire U.S. site to over 8,000 m2. The new premises will be operational in January.

"This investment amounts to US$ 10 million, said Per Dobler, senior vice president, and occurs after we started last June a new research and development laboratory, which covers an area of 1700 m2 in Chattanooga (Tennessee) and is specializing in the micro-encapsulation only." It is worth to note that the laboratory’s infrastructure is LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certified, in line with the commitments of the company’s sustainable development.

As far as Europe is concerned, the firm established a few months ago its headquarters in France into brand new premises in Levallois-Perret (a close suburb of Paris). Renzo Sereni is holding the position of General Manager Europe.

A fragrant tattoo!

"In terms of product development, said Joanne Benincasa, Fragrance Development Manager, we finalised recently Oasis, a perfume sample incorporating an alcohol-based formula, and Oasis Beauty, a sample adaptable to all cosmetic formulas for press or point of sale sampling, and TAT2Go, a clever system that allows applying fragrant a tattoo on one’s skin."

These new products complement the portfolio of the U.S. firm, which includes scented strips for press sampling, the Emanescent and Touch-a-scent cards, the Versa range of applicators and eventually, the ColorKiss range of lipstick samples, who successfully highlighted the launch of a major cosmetic brand.
