IFF Chairman and CEO, Doug Tough

Global creator of flavors and fragrances International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF) plans to invest over US$100 million in Asia over the next three years. The investment will be allocated to two new state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in Guangzhou (China) and Singapore.

"As growth in this region continues to accelerate, it is important that we align our infrastructure to support our capacity requirements. Today’s investment reflects our continued confidence in our growth strategies in the region and our long-term commitment to these very important emerging markets," said IFF Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Doug Tough.

The Guangzhou site will be dedicated to flavours production while the facility in Singapore will be used for both flavour and fragrance production. The new facilities are located near the existing IFF sites in order to ensure a smooth transition.

In February 2009, IFF opened a Creative Center in Shanghai. The centre is dedicated to the creation of flavours and fragrances.
