French manufacturer of natural cosmetics ingredients ID bio develops its offer with Melan’oWhite an organic certified lightening ingredient.

Certified organic by Ecocert Greenlife, Melan’oWhite benefits from a natural high content in lactic acid and vitamin C, molecules renowned for their action on melanogenesis. Indeed, says ID bio, this ingredient acts on the tyrosinase expression to reduce its activity, while favouring the epidermal turn-over, to obtain a lighter, brighter and more uniform complexion.

Melan’oWhite reduces the melanin synthesis by 93,2% at a 0,025% concentration (in vitro study). Ex vivo test against placebo on reconstructed tanned epidermis also shows the efficacy of this active. Topically tested at 4% (+1% in solution), it enables a melanin synthesis reduction of 13% versus 5% for kojic acid. Finally, an in vivo trial on Asian volunteers enabled to confirm its lightening action. A chromametric assessment against placebo showed that, with only one daily application during 28 and 56 days, the pigmentation degree ITA° as well as the parameter L*, that corresponds to the luminance, have been improved,” the company claims.

Thus, Melan’oWhite should address the needs of formulators looking for a paraben-free organic active issued from the natural world, that enables to formulate natural or organic lightening cares. This way, cosmetics brands will be able to offer an innovative range dedicated to sensitive skins that wish to have a light skin and a uniform complexion.
