Avon to cut 1,200 jobs

Avon announced it will reorganise its global activities, including realignments in its global supply chain manufacturing operations, primarily in North America and in Europe. As a result, the company said that approximately 2,300 positions will be impacted globally, with a net reduction of approximately 1,200 of the company’s 42,000 positions when the restructuring is fully implemented by 2012-2013.

Avon, is the world’s largest direct seller of cosmetic products, with over US$ 10 billion in annual revenue, in more than 100 countries.
