While the current situation is far from being simple in the paper and cardboard industry – increasing cost of raw materials, and fierce competition in a context where customers’ orders are declining in volume – the Agency Pierre Lelong remains optimistic. The French company is specialised in the broking and trading of high-end solid paperboard, corrugated cardboard, printing paper, mainly for the luxury industry. It represents significant producers from countries all over the world and has the exclusivity of their distribution on the French market and often in Belgium and Spain.

Thanks to Crescendo, made by the MeadWestvaco group, explains Xavier Chambrey, General director, in particular the ‘new’ Crescendo presented few months ago at Luxe Pack Monaco, which is certainly the whitest of the market. Thanks also to the Artika range of International Paper, made in Poland, a one-side coated board with a white reverse made only of chemical pulp and chemithermomechanical pulp, with an excellent quality-price ratio. Eventually, thanks to Pankaboard, from the Pankakoski Mill (formerly owned by Stora Enso), a white reverse or wood reverse starting from 350 g/sqm that suits perfectly to POS advertising and for spirits packaging.

Last but not least, the French distributor has been selling for one year a chrome paper made in Indonesia by APP (Asia Pulp & Paper), which sells well, in particular for labelling purposes.
