680 Design Galleries is a database gathering shapes that are organised in galleries: galleries for flacons, for cosmetics, for make-up (Center of the Spiral gallery), or galleries of abstractive shapes looking for a function (Pure Shape gallery), or galleries of prospective designs (Have a Dream gallery)…

Naked shapes are just waiting to be personalised with the codes of brands to become theirs.

The database has been conceived to serve as the base of a new creative process.

As a first step, the 680 Design Galleries team receives a brief from a customer who’s looking for a shape or a new concept. “Actually, the brief may be very detailed or voluntarily general or unfocused. Depending on the information provided by the client and on the history of the brand, the 680 Design Galleries team will review and analyse hundreds of shapes in the database before selecting ten of them,” explains Olivier Ferracci, who’s in charge of the project at Aesthete.

Then, selected shapes are proposed in 3D in an average delay of 4 days after the customer’s brief was received, against 3 to 6 weeks usually. Such a method leads to a very wide stylistic offer. According to the 680 Design Galleries team, the method no only helps shortening delays, but also enhances creativity since more time can be devoted to the product development. Creation becomes the starting point of the product development and not its conclusion.

Eventually, Aesthete’s database could become an original website showcasing the works of designers from around the world.
