Brazilian cosmetic companies meet success in North America

ABIHPEC, the Brazilian Association of the Cosmetic, Toiletry & Fragrance Industry, reported very good results from its participation in Comoprof North America, which was held in Las Vegas (Nevada), July 13th to 15th. With the support of APEX–Brasil (the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency), the association brought six companies to the show [1]. All of them were already distributing their products in the United States and were in the process of consolidating and broadening their contacts with retail and wholesale chains.

According to the association, the business generated during Cosmoprof NA amounted to USD 50 thousand and exhibitors expect to bring in USD 2.5 million over the next 12 months. The Brazilian Pavilion at the show received the visit of over 300 buyers from countries like Mexico, Costa Rica, Chile, South Africa, Japan, Thailand, Italy, England, Guatemala, Canada, Ecuador, Korea, Israel, Egypt and Panama, in addition to the United States.
