The third annual consumer choice awards: #beauty20 took place on 29th of April in London, after 2014 event in New York and 2013 in Paris. The competition was created by innoCos to benchmark the companies who are the most successful in connecting with consumers through digital technology and social media.

Over 250 award entries were received and the jury selected the top five brands from each of the competition’s 10 categories. Then, consumers were a month to vote for their favourite beauty brand online.

Over 8.000 votes were received, and the winners are:

Best brand on Twitter: Benefit UK
Top five brands on Twitter: Benefit UK, It Cosmetics, MAC Cosmetics, OPI Products, Simple Skin.

Best brand on Facebook: Burt’s Bees
Top five brands on Facebook: Bee Nature Cosmetic, Burt’s Bees UK, Butter London, OPI Products, La Mer.

Best brand on Pinterest: OPI Products
Top five brands on Pinterest: Bobbi Brown, Fresh, L’Oreal, OPI Products, Rituals.

Best brand on Instagram: Benefit Cosmetics
Top five brands on Instagram: Benefit Cosmetics, Caudalie, Ellis Faas, Illamasqua, Make Up For Ever.

Best app: L’Oréal, Makeup Genius,
Top five apps: Clarins, L’Oreal Makeup Genius, Mary Kay, OPI, Sephora To-Go.

Best e-commerce website: Mary Kay

Best beauty brand online: Benefit Cosmetics
Top five beauty brands online: Benefit Cosmetics, Burberry, Elie Saab, Make Up For Ever, Sephora.

Benefit Cosmetics, the big winner this year, brought home the most trophies, winning three categories: Best Twitter, Best Instagram and Best Beauty Brand Online. Mary Kay won for the third year Best eCommerce Website and Dove lead for the third year as the Best Video.

"The #beauty20 Awards is an opportunity for the beauty industry to see which brands are staying closely in touch with their customers," says Irina Kremin, the Managing Director of innoCos events. "Those companies who participated, turned to their customers and asked for their support and the results were overwhelming! In the end the winning brands had tightened the connection with their customers."
