The Wabel Home, Beauty & Personal Care Summit takes place in Paris, France, on October 10-11 for private label and brand makers, and international purchasing groups to develop new business opportunities.

120 buyers from 85 purchasing groups (specialized beauty retailers, drugstores, beauty & homecare specialists, online and general retailers), and 65 selected suppliers will attend.

This year will also feature brand makers who will attend to source for technical solutions, formulation and innovative ingredients to launch a product under their ranges or update existing ones.

The Summit focuses on Personal care categories such Skincare, Fragrances, Make-up, Hair care, Vitamins & complements, Hygiene, baby care and on Home care ones such as Cleaning detergents, Dishwash, Laundry care, Cleaning supplies, Air fresheners and Anti-repellents, etc.

The event employs a different model than a traditional trade show, where buyers go the Wabel’s website and, with the help of a consultant, select the manufacturers they want to meet.

Wabel will then provide an individual agenda with pre-scheduled private meetings for each participant at the summit. With 92% of the meetings rated as “interesting”, “very interesting” or “direct business opportunity” last year, this year’s Wabel Home, Beauty & Personal Care Summit will account for more than 1,000 private business meetings.

Three-level concept

The first level is online. Wabel has a platform of 8,000 qualified, identified and verified suppliers with more than 28,000 products. This database connects suppliers with buyers, who have the opportunity through the search engine to get in touch with international suppliers.

The second level is sourcing where buyers can post their latest tenders on the Wabel platform or directly by pushing the Wabel Button. The sourcing team will then check the database and come back with several companies that match the buyers’ needs.

The third level is the finalization that takes place at the summit private meetings, which is the culmination of the work done previously. Every meeting provided at the Wabel summit to the suppliers has already been approved by the buyers and has been prepared according to their needs.

“Trade shows are becoming an old concept. People are looking for high-value immediate meetings. We’re decreasing the budget a company would need to achieve such work, in time, money and value – on both sides”, says Antoine Bonnel, Wabel’s co-founder and managing director.

Market Insights & Wabel Awards Ceremony

During the two-days Summit, a series of workshops will see market experts, such as Euromonitor, the strategic global business intelligence firm, discuss the main trends and future prospects of the home and personal care market.

Another workshop, hosted by Pantone, the global color authority and provider of professional standards for the design industries, will examine the color trends in fashion and beauty.
The color specialist, Carlin, will also outline the emerging behaviors that directs relationships to color and the expectations of consumers by 2019.

The Wabel Home, Beauty & Personal Care Summit will also host the Wabel Awards, which rewards the best-in-class products for companies that have seen considerable achievements in producing innovative products with a special focus on organic, free-from, eco-friendly and innovative packaging.
