Shiseido has opened of a duty-free shop in Terminal 3 of Narita International Airport. Located in duty-free zone, at the second-floor of the new terminal building, which has been built to serve Asian low-cost carriers, the shop offers a total of 24 brands, including global brands Shiseido and Elixir.

The Tokyo based cosmetics maker said it is establishing the store to enhance its travel retail business, which is expanding along with the increasing number of tourists visiting Japan, in particular from other Asian countries. In 2014, Japan received more than 13 million foreign tourists, a record high.

Shiseido’s travel retail business in Japan is run by its subsidiary, The Ginza Co., Ltd. The company already operates 43 shops at 23 airports, including eight shops at Terminals 1 and 2 of Narita Airport. As far as the five stores located at Narita’s Terminal 1 and the three stores at Terminal 2 are concerned, sales of cosmetic products increased by 20% and 40% [1], respectively, year on year.

Opened since April 8, 2015, Shiseido’s 19.5 m2 shop is located opposite Passport Control.
