Safic-Alcan, a French distribution group of chemical specialties, recently acquired Laserson, a prominent French distributor of specialty ingredients for the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries. Based in Etampes (Paris greater area, France), Laserson employs 21 people and achieved sales revenues of 17.5 million euros in 2012.

Laserson supplies a large portfolio of ingredients via long-term collaborations with first-class producers which he has broadened with its own range of proprietary products.

With this acquisition, Safic-Alcan has further enhanced its market position in the distribution of cosmetic specialty ingredients. The priority of both companies will be to maintain the same spirit of first-class service to customers and principals that is key to success in this business,” explains Safic-Alcan in a release.

Safic-Alcan employs 380 people and has affiliates and agents in more than 25 countries in the world. The group recorded global sales of € 400 M in 2012.
