Merck Chemicals China has opened its Pigments & Cosmetics Technology Application Network China (TANC) in Shanghai with the aim to better meet the growing needs of Chinese customers in the pigments and cosmetics sectors.

The TANC will be able to offer colour proposals based on powder-coating technology as well as SPF [1] testing to customers in China. “Through upgraded chromameters and microscopes, Merck will provide more accurate and comprehensive recommendations to customers on colour matching and analyses,” the company claims.

China is one of the most dynamic and important markets in the world for Merck’s pigments & cosmetics business. With the opening of the TANC, we will be able to bring innovative products to our Chinese customers more quickly and effectively,” Inese Lowenstein, Senior Vice President of the Merck Pigments & Cosmetics Business Unit, said at the opening ceremony.
