MakeUp in New York, the tradeshow dedicated to the suppliers of makeup brands in North America, is strengthening its team with the appointment of Beatrice Saffre, a communications specialist with over 15 years of domestic and international experience spanning across the United States, Canada and France.

Béatrice Saffre has a broad range of experience in the areas of cosmetic, design, fashion and luxury goods, ranging from marketing, advertising, product development, and public relations/global communications.

During her last experience as Media Manager for the luxury publishing house Assouline, she developed and managed global communication and press strategies for fashion, art, architecture, design and lifestyle books. She also collaborated with the world’s foremost brands (Coca-Cola, Mattel); photographers (Jonathan Becker); architects (Calatrava); fashion brands (Chanel, Dior, Valentino); interior designers (Hunt Slonem; Carlos Mota, Miles Redd, Thierry Despond); and culinary masters (Daniel Boulud, Joel Robuchon). In her role as Media Manager, her responsibilities included conceiving, planning and executing all special events and book launches, from managing production logistics and guest lists to coordinating guest arrivals and facilitating interviews. The scope of her job also included generating press releases and other press kit materials for external and internal distribution.

She was also very active on social media and has developed a strong following on Assouline instagram @Assouline by consistently posting our new books and pictures as well as covering book launches, client parties and many VIP events.

Over the years she has been strategic in building strong relationships with key print and digital editors across media platforms that include magazines, newspapers, blogs, influential social media sites, fashion/beauty trades, and websites around the world.
