The world’s biggest trade fair in the beauty sector is still growing and welcoming new international exhibitors. As a result of intensive international promotion, the 2015 edition will host 27 national collectives: Korea, China, Taiwan, Poland, Germany, Colombia, France, the Far East, Greece, Belgium, Spain, Pakistan, Turkey, the UK, Israel, Peru, the USA and California and, for the first time, the United Arab Emirates, Thailand and the Netherlands.

In order to facilitate the visit of such a big event, several special events and exhibition areas have been created in all the sectors of the trade show to emphasise influential companies and presenting new trends.

Special events and dedicated areas

As usual, a lot of attention will be devoted to innovations in the hair sector and several events, including hairdressing competitions and workshops, will be devoted to this product category.

In the Spa section, extra exhibition space has been reserved to house an “International SPA Symposium”, a two-day educational programme on trends and best practices in the spa and wellness business.

In the Perfumery & Cosmetics section, the Extraordinary Gallery will bring together renown international firms exhibiting high-end products and new luxury cosmetics trends, while new start-ups will be exhibiting in their own special area, Spot on Beauty.

For the first time, Cosmoprof Worldwide Bologna will be organising a “Perfumery Forum” on Friday 20th March. The event will feature workshops and seminars for operators in the perfumery sector, focusing on the future of the perfumery market in Italy and in the major markets worldwide.

Cosmopack

The organizers also announce several new features at Cosmopack, the “show within the show” dedicated to the beauty sector’s production chain.

This year, a special emphasis will be put on eco-sustainability, a vital aspect of industrial production which will be the subject of workshops and special initiatives. Cosmopack will also be hosting the second edition of its “The Wall - Eco-Beauty” competition, which will reward the most innovative items regarding environment protection. The products will be exhibited on the “Eco-Beauty Wall” in the corridor between pavilions 15 and 18. The jury, made up of experts from Acqua di Parma-LVMH, Carlin Group, Certiquality, Comfortzone, Domus Academy, Italia Imballaggio and Wired, will award prizes to the most innovative products in each category.

The Cosmopack Factory project will be returning for the 2015 edition. This is a special exhibition area where the manufacturing process for the most famous and widely distributed beauty products is reproduced live. The project began with lipstick, then moved on to the technological development of face powder in the most recent edition. In 2015, it will focus on mascara.

Eventually, the Cosmopack Forum programme, will host workshops and presentations from suppliers, certification bodies, trend forecasters and universities including Beautystreams, Centdegres, Nelly Rodi, Peclers Paris, Certiquality and Information & Inspiration.
