The 7th edition of the Cosmetagora trade show, which was held in Paris on the 13th and 14th January 2015, hosted 152 exhibitors and welcomed over 2,400 visitors [1], including formulators, clinicians, safety assessors and marketing teams in search of new textures and innovative tests.

Another indication of how much the interest in this show is growing, is the success of the second edition of its Formulation awards. A jury gathering experts from French brands (Clarins, Chanel, Nuxe, Ales Group ...) and from academics, R&D and marketing consultants, evaluated 43 formulas, vs. 20 last year.

Supervised by François Viot, who’s in charge of organising the competition, the jury eventually rewarded:

Total Shield Cushion Foundation SPF 25, by DKSH, based on the Pigment Dispersion System technology.
Make up foundation, by Shin-Etsu, based on hybrid powders and allowing to transform a cream into powder.
Customizable mask, by Soliance, based on the association of a liquid gel and a mist enabling to form a peelable film.
