Citróleo is searching globally for ideas from professionals, students, partner companies and researchers with the aim of overcoming obstacles and exploring the opportunities present in the vegetalization of cosmetic formulas in a sustainable manner.

The first “Open Innovation” challenge launched by the producer of cosmetic ingredients features the theme “Innovation and digitalization: the connection between biodiversity and the chemical industry.” Participants, who can sign up at https://innovation.quimiweb.com/ by April 14, should initially present their ideas and solutions focusing on the theme. The top three projects will be awarded a total of USD 15,000.

Registration: By April 14, 2021
Target audience: Researchers at Institutes, Universities, students, professors or professionals in the chemical, dermatological, pharmaceutical industry (such as chemists, engineers, formulators, pharmacists, and dermatologists) or involved in logistics or supply chain processes.
Challenge Rules
Each participant will be able to submit as many ideas as they wish, alone or in groups;
The participation of companies will not be allowed; only individuals or groups of individuals may participate;
Only new ideas will be accepted, respecting the intellectual property of third parties (where applicable);
Participants declare themselves fully responsible for the idea submitted and their responsibility for it;
Employees and/or former employees of competing companies, directly or indirectly related to the Citróleo group, are NOT allowed to participate in the challenge;
By accepting the terms, the participant undertakes not to violate this principle, under penalty of criminal punishment for concealing information or misrepresentation.

Since entering new geographic markets, Citróleo has not only expanded its product line, but has also been showing growth in its exports, year after year, having reached results in 2020 corresponding to 85% of its total invoicing.
