Last year, Aubade released its first fragrance, titled simply Le Parfum. Now the French lingerie brand is back with a new perfume, Anecdote.

While Le Parfum was a powdery floral, Anecdote is a citrusy musk. The fresh fragrance combines notes of bergamot, coumarin, jasmine, magnolia and rose with hints of vanilla and musk.

"I created Anecdote as a lace exuded by aldehydes blended with rose," explains Delphine Jelk, perfumer at Drom and the nose behind the fragrance. "Bergamot provides a sharp freshness and adds the excitement of precious moments, leading into the immaculate magnolia flower. I dressed the vanilla in white musk, creating a sensual sillage... The perfume is like the night falling, with candor and devastation."

The flacon is shaped just like the black one that contains Le Parfum but has a pearly white color that calls to mind the texture of satin, found in many of the brand’s undergarments.

Anecdote is due to go on sale this month in Aubade stores. The eau de parfum is sold in 50ml and 100ml flacons, priced at €42 and €59 respectively (around $54 and $75). The fragrance is also available in a body milk, priced at €19 (around $24).
