Following the acquisition of a second and fully automated line of plastic pencils, Alkos Cosmétiques recently announced the acquisition of a new machine dedicated to filling eyeliners pens, which will be operational in late December 2013.

"With this new line, the components arrive separately (body, end caps, wads) to be assembled and filled automatically with a lasered batch number," says Alkos Cosmétiques.

Once operational, the new machine should be able to fill in 3,500 eyeliners per hour. "The factory specialising in the production of Made in France textures can now respond to large volume order and is reaching levels of performance and competitiveness," highlights the company.

All in all, the Alkos group invested more than 2 million euros in 2013, and this pace is to be maintained in 2014, with the possible purchase of a third filling line for plastic pencils, and a second automatic filling line for waterproof retractable pencils. The Alkos group’s efforts are proving to be fruitful with a very positive outcome for 2013 as sales have reached more than 43 million euros in 2013, +16 % compared to 2012.
