Last February, Alban Muller was awarded “Most Sustainable Company” at The Future of Sustainability event organized by the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC) on February 15, 2017. “This recognition confirmed the historical commitment of the group for eco-responsible products of excellence,” said the French company which has been supplying finished products as well as plant-based cosmetic actives since 1978.

The Company has been frequently awarded about its commitments to an ongoing global eco responsible approach closely related to its CSR policy. Indeed, Alban Muller group obtained in 2015 the highest “Gold” recognition following an evaluation by the EcoVadis independent rating platform which built its methodology on international CSR standards including the ISO 26 000, the Global Reporting Initiative and the United Nations Global Compact. This result includes the group among the top 5% companies evaluated by EcoVadis.

The company has developed Cosme-phytami® the 100% natural and eco-responsible range of plant actives approved by Cosmos Natural Standard. This new generation of plant extracts are manufactured thanks to an eco-responsible process including a unique drying technology: Zeodration.

Zeodration is an eco-friendly drying technique respecting the integrity of active molecules, preserving the organoleptic qualities of extracts and insuring their best possible solubility. According to Alban Muller, it is a smart energy-saving technology using zeolites which adsorbs water and releases heat thanks to an exothermic reaction ensuring a gentle drying at low temperature (40°C) adapted to plant extract. Indeed, it is an eco-responsible alternative to conventional techniques which are very demanding in energy such as freeze-drying. The dried product obtained from zeodration is a “zeodrate”, a native extract which is grinded into a powder and solubilized in a plant based GMO free glycerin carrier for best skin biocompatibility.
