Beyond words that may sound like commonplace - "innovation as a corporate culture" - this issue is like a second nature for Toly, a company of British origin whose main production site and headquarters are located in Malta. Multiple illustrations can be find in the company’s recent developments.

The Seoul Line, for instance, is a new packaging concept that can fit to a foundation, or to a skincare or even to a sunscreen product. The pack initially looks like a cylinder. Once separated into two, the first part reveals a small airless container, which is activated by pressing on an actuator on the side, the other part is fitted with a small sponge/applicator that appears and disappears in no time at all.

The actuator on the side seems to be a real in-house trend for this converter, which has designed several other dispensers featuring lateral actuators to eject the product.

To note also that the formulas in the Seoul pack, like in some other airless packs in Toly’s standard range are protected by a very clever shut-off system.

Another example, the world of make-up cases, which is also in full swing at Toly with the Picture Face that makes it possible to reproduce amazing pictures and patterns on the grid around the powder - which is itself in 3D- with an astonishing precision (allowing for example, to recreate the equivalent of real small sand dunes).

Imagination is not to be outdone with the PullPull cases, not to mention this case which takes exactly the form of a mobile phone... To be continued.
