Last December, the BeautyFULL Club launched a series of monthly information breakfasts for its members.

These meetings are proving highly successful, says Charles-Emmanuel Gounod, the Club’s President. “Figures are self-explanatory. Thirty-five participants in December, and almost fifty last week. With such a growing rate we’ll have to move to bigger places quite often,” comments Mr Gounod with visible satisfaction.

During an hour and a half, participants in the Club’s breakfasts can hear experts’ presentations before debating and exchanging on issues of direct interest to the industry. Last December, the Club’s members discussed the consequences on intellectual property rights of the French “law for the modernisation of the economy”. They also share experiences about innovation processes in the industry.

Last week, Mrs Nathalie Dessirier, co-founder of CapBeauty, a trends agency, talked about a hot topic: Do luxury, beauty and innovation remain meaningful during the crisis times? Mr Frédéric Manin, a lawyer at theKGA business law firm in Paris, laid down in details French rules governing commercial relationships, in particular with regard to payment delays and discriminatory business practices.
