Stora Enso announces new board for high-end packaging
Stora Enso [1] is launching new Ensocoat board for high-end packaging. The board is produced according to a new recipe that provides improved whiteness, brightness, smoothness and unique printability on both the top and reverse side. With its effective board structure and surface for various finishing effects, new Ensocoat is intended for the most demanding brands and applications.

The development project focused both on the visual appearance of the board as well as packaging performance. Optical properties have been improved, including whiteness, brightness and a bluer shade. The new Ensocoat offers the best reverse-side smoothness and whiteness available in the market.
Ensocoat 2S replaces Ensogloss
Within this new Ensocoat range, the 2 sided-product, known on the market as Ensogloss, is now branded as Ensocoat 2S. “Ensocoat 2S benefits from all the same advantages as the new Ensocoat and , what’s more, on both sides,” Hervé Vue says.
The product launches are backed up by an extensive marketing campaign. “We are introducing a new logo for Ensocoat, and the images have been taken by the world-renowned photographer Andrea Klarin. Anyone who deals with design and branding should have a look at the website www.storaenso.com/ensocoat,” encourages Hervé Vue.
The new Ensocoat will be presented at the PCD exhibition in Paris January 26-27 and shortly after at ProSweets Cologne 2010. Stora Enso will also participate in Luxe Pack 2010, October 20-22 in Monaco.
