Founded in 1949 in the Paris region, the SIMP company is one of the forerunners in the field of plastic and rubber injection. It designs and manufactures small precision industrial parts produced in medium and large series, for major players in cosmetics (L’Oréal, Lancôme, Dior, Givenchy, Estée Lauder, Bourjois, Oriflame, etc.) and for some high value-added niche markets (connectics, aeronautics, medical...). The company, who is an European leader in the colour cosmetic market for the manufacture of plastic applicators and wipers, achieved in 2010 a turnover of € 7.4 million and has 21 employees.

The ambitions of the new management team are to broaden the company’s portfolio of international customers, to strengthen its innovation centre in particular for mascara plastic applicators in order to file more patents each year and to consolidate the technology advance it has acquired on this segment.

"I am convinced that high-technicality, a strong innovation potential and a very performing business model offer SIMP a real opportunity of developing itself in the niche market of small injected high-tech parts. And this, mainly on the strong growing global market of mascara where mastering both plastic and rubber technologies is an important competitive advantage. We intend to strengthen our leading position in close partnership with our customers, brands in colour cosmetics and pack suppliers", said Alain Blondel, the new President.

In addition, Manuel Viegas, the former owner and President, will remain involved in the future of SIMP by sharing his experience with the new team.
