Founded in 1761, Faber-Castell became in the mid-19th century into the world’s premier manufacturer of wood-cased pencils, both graphite and colour. While this year marks its 250th anniversary, Faber-Castell is still a family-owned business.

The production of pencils for the cosmetic industry began in 1978. Since that date, Faber-Castell Cosmetics has grown has one of the leading global private-label cosmetic manufacturers. In order to celebrate the anniversary of its mother company, Faber-Castell Cosmetics presents Grace and Glamour , a range of sophisticated and elegant products.

The retro design of the wooden pencils is a likeness of the ceiling mosaic in the ladies’ bathroom - an Art Nouveau treasure - at the Faber-Castell castle.

The formulae are enriched with precious ingredients like black onyx, amber and ruby. “Their micronized particles play with the light, create a natural luminous finish and emphasize the colour,” says the company in a release.

The Grace and Glamour collection features an eyebrow formulated with fine amber powder, an eyeliner highly pigmented and enriched with vitamin E, and formulated with fine black onyx powder, as well as a lipstick formulated with fine jewel and ruby powder which interacts with the light and creates a deep rich colour with luminous finish.

The pencils are decorated with digital transfer providing multi-coloured designs of almost photographic quality. The pencil caps are ennobled with a gold banderole.
