Reckitt Benckiser is one of the first companies in the world to get an ISO 22176 certification for its French manufacturing facility located in Chartres, which produces the group’s personal care products range (Veet, Clearasil , E45 Lutsine, Intima).
The ISO 22716:2007 standard provides the industry with guidelines for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) of cosmetic products covering all production stages, as well as control, storage and shipment activities.
The company’s compliance with the ISO standard was assessed by Dekra Certification. In this context, Reckitt Benckiser had to adapt its manufacturing flow chart, its general organisation and the training of its staff. Dekra Certification’s inspectors have noted that “heavy investments have been engaged to improve the site”.
