RPC reconfigures and strengthens its Beauty activities

RPC will transfer the activity of its Italian unit to its French manufacturing site, in a move to consolidate its Beauty business.

RPC, Europe’s leading manufacturer of rigid plastic packaging, announces that it is consolidating all its Beauty activities, previously split between Bramlage-Wiko (personal care and toiletries) and RPC beauté (make up and fragrance) into one single entity under the umbrella of RPC Bramlage-Wiko. This will allow to pool the technical resources and expertise of the two entities, to offer an enhanced service to its customers, to optimise its industrial structure and to reduce its cost base.

In this context the site of Mozzate in Italy will be closed and its operations transferred to the French site of Marolles which has undergone for this purpose a major upgrade, including a new building, extension of production workshops and significant productivity and automation investments. Marolles becomes an integral part of RPC Bramlage-Wiko. A comprehensive compensation plan is being offered to Mozzate employees.

After this consolidation RPC Bramlage-Wiko weights EUR 250 million, of which EUR 140 million in Beauty, with activities in fragrance, color cosmetics, personal care and toiletries. It has 11 production sites in Western Europe, Eastern Europe and the USA, and partnerships in Russia and Thailand, with plans to develop several further ones. All sites are able to use the resources of the reinforced technical and innovation centre and mould shops of the division.

RPC Bramlage-Wiko is headed by Alfons Böckmann. Gérald Martines, previously General Manager RPC beauté is nominated Business Development Director. Jean-Philippe Caspar is nominated General Manager of the Marolles site. Blandine Roger retains her position as Sales Director.
