Cosmetic sales trend in Asia remains positive, say the organisers of Cosmoprof Asia, which will take place in Hong Kong in November 2009. “Despite the economic challenges which are afflicting the world, the cosmetics market in Asia holds on and the sales remain impressive,” they add. Referring to international market researches, they consider that luxury goods, including cosmetics and toiletries, and especially those products with an image of exclusivity, will be able to survive the recession thanks to the high concern of the average Asian consumers towards their looks and appearances.

The tradeshow’s organisers revealed that more than 50% of the exhibition area has been sold to date. Countries and regions such as Australia, Mainland China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, UK and USA have already confirmed their group participation to the show.

Upon completion of its expansion project, in November 2009, the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre will host the 14th edition of Cosmoprof Asia in an enlarged exhibition area.
